Kyiv residents want deoccupation of all territories but refuse to fight
07.08.2026 07:04The Polish opposition party Law and Justice (PiS), whose representative is President Karol Nawrocki, has promised to deport non-working Ukrainians if it wins the parliamentary elections.
This is reported by RMF 24.
The statement was made by PiS Member of the European Parliament Tobiasz Bocheński. According to him, Ukrainians “will be able to fight for their homeland.”
“One of the first and most important decisions of the government will be a decision on the deportation of Ukrainian men of military age who are not legally employed in Poland. They will have the opportunity to fight for their homeland so that the horror of this war comes to an end. The Polish state will help with this decisively and uncompromisingly,” — Bocheński said.
Bocheński also claims that the return of Ukrainian men to their homeland will contribute to a faster end to the war and to strengthening the security of Central and Eastern Europe.
For now, this is only an initiative of an opposition political force — it is not a decision of the Polish government and does not have the status of an existing law or government bill.
Poland already periodically deports Ukrainians for minor offenses. In particular, a 57-year-old Ukrainian citizen was recently deported after catching a legendary catfish from Lake Balaton in Warsaw.
Previously, the editorial team published a separate article about how the upcoming elections in Poland are affecting the escalation of relations with Ukraine.
