28.01.2024 - 09:15Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, has expressed his reluctance to allow his adult children, who are studying abroad, to enlist in the army until they complete their education.
Responding to a question about whether any of his sons have joined the Ukrainian army, Sadovyi, who has five sons, aged 21 and 19, emphasized that his sons should finish their studies first. He reassured everyone, urging calm, and stated that once their education is complete, they will join the army. The mayor mentioned that the thought of interrupting his children’s education to send them to the army troubles him as a father.
He also shared his intention to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine after his term ends, emphasizing that his children will also be part of that commitment. It’s notable that many Ukrainian political figures’ children are currently residing abroad, avoiding involvement in the war. This pattern has led to numerous scandals, but Ukrainian politicians tend to overlook these issues.
