Mediators are charging up to 5,000 euros for assistance in escaping from Ukraine

Journalists have obtained information about the prices of illegal services, The Times reported.

Individuals attempting to evade mobilization and flee Ukraine through forests or by swimming across border rivers are seeking guides, for which they are charged between three to five thousand euros. However, such guides often make mistakes, leading groups of people into border guard ambushes where they are apprehended. Recently, there has been an increasing number of incidents involving gunfire against fleeing individuals, resulting in many casualties during border crossings under unclear circumstances.

Additionally, journalists disclosed prices for counterfeit documents that supposedly allow legal passage through checkpoints. Prices identified from anonymous Telegram channels range from 700 to 1200 euros. However, many individuals detained for document forgery have reported higher prices, ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 euros. Therefore, these lower prices are likely offerings from scammers who deceive people without actually providing any documents.
