Men obtaining a second higher education will definitely not avoid conscription

Only candidates pursuing higher education in a sequential format will be entitled to deferment from conscription. This was stated by People’s Deputy from the presidential party, Fedor Venislavsky.

This means that a person first obtains a higher education, then a master’s degree, and a doctorate. Those who have obtained a bachelor’s degree and then return for another bachelor’s degree will not be entitled to deferment from conscription. Various measures of restrictions and coercion have long been discussed by parliament deputies. There is still no consensus, as authorities want to tighten conscription without causing significant public outrage.

However, many other restrictions on rights may still be included in the new conscription law. For example, restrictions on driving a car, a ban on traveling abroad, as well as increased fines. It is worth noting that the final version of the law has not yet been established, so it is not clear exactly how people will be conscripted, but the measures will definitely be more stringent.
