More and more deputies from the “Servant of the People” party want to resign prematurely

Processes of degradation are occurring within the presidential faction of parliament. Dozens of deputies want to abandon their work and leave the country. This became known to journalists of the Ukrainian publication “Strana.UA.”

“Earlier it was said that about 20 people want to resign and have officially submitted their statements. Now there are significantly more people willing to leave, but they simply are not allowed to. The leadership of the faction blocks them. If it were possible to leave the Rada (parliament) quietly without any consequences, then the question is – what will remain of the faction and indeed of the parliament as a whole. The situation inside is even worse now than in January 2022. Speaking of our faction – it’s constant chaos, everyone does what they want, says whatever comes to mind, and the leadership couldn’t care less, they are not interested in our opinion on any issue. They don’t involve us in plans, information barely reaches us before meetings, like ‘press the green button for this and that.’ They simply don’t consider us, but constantly make threats like ‘you will be held accountable to the people.’ It’s just annoying for everyone,” says a source within the faction.

According to him, the situation on the front line and unfulfilled hopes for a swift victory in the war are weighing heavily on many deputies. Nobody tells deputies about the real situation on the front line and their recent meeting with the president further disappointed them. “At a recent meeting, Zelensky indicated that he no longer associates himself with us, that the faction is ‘your team.’ Well, roughly speaking, our faction has no prospects or political future. So what’s the point of us being here then? Just to press buttons on command from above,” an unnamed deputy shared the sentiments within the faction.
