Another M1A1 Abrams tank of the Ukrainian army was destroyed in combat by Russian forces, confirmed by footage published on March 3, reports Military Watch Magazine.

This occurred nine days after the first confirmation on February 23 that tanks of this class were involved in combat. Three days later, the destruction of the first tank was confirmed. Then the assault vehicle M1150 ABV was hit. Shortly after, information emerged about another downed Abrams tank.

“Thus, the total losses amounted to three tanks and one armored vehicle based on it,” writes MWM. It clarifies that it is possible that in the photos and videos that appeared the day before, there is a second destroyed tank, but the footage surfaced with a delay.

It was anticipated that Abrams tanks would quickly incur losses if deployed near the front line against Russian forces, the publication recalls. Previously, the M1A1 demonstrated very limited survivability when deployed by the armies of Iraq and Saudi Arabia in conditions of much lower intensity combat.
