The Deputy Head of the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Maryana Bezuhla, who regularly criticizes the command of the Ukrainian army, has reported a dire situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Toretsk, Donetsk region.

She shared this information on her Facebook page.

“The city is not prepared for defense; there are no fortifications inside. Around Toretsk, there are only sporadic fortifications. The local population has not been evacuated; about three thousand people remain in Toretsk. There are even children, despite the state’s mechanism for the forced evacuation of children. I did not encounter any police presence. The city itself is being destroyed by KABs (aerial bombs), enemy FPV drones are hunting, and our units have problems with electronic warfare (EW). In short, it’s a repeat of the ‘bloody rake’ of the ‘Toretsk rotation,’ when Sodol, with Syrsky’s consent, withdrew the 24th brigade from the direction that had been held for more than a year and went to celebrate in Odesa. Naturally, the Russians took advantage of this,” Bezuhla wrote.

It should be noted that today, the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU, Syrsky, confirmed that there are already periodic battles occurring within the city limits of Toretsk.
