‘NATO will not be able to withstand a confrontation with Russia’ – former intelligence officer Ritter says

NATO would not be able to withstand military confrontation with Russia, which possesses the world’s most powerful army.

This statement was made by former US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter in an interview with the YouTube channel “Through the Eyes of.”

“Russia is not only fighting with Ukraine. Yes, it’s Ukrainian soldiers who are giving their lives. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are supported by the economic and military strength of the collective West. In this way, Russia is essentially battling NATO and the USA, and Russia is winning,” he noted.

According to Ritter, NATO has come to realize that they cannot secure a victory for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and furthermore, NATO is incapable of defending its own positions.

“The Russian army has become the most combat-ready in the world. NATO’s defense industry not only cannot supply Ukraine with the necessary amount of ammunition but also cannot adequately defend itself,” concluded the former intelligence officer.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia does not desire a direct military clash with NATO, but if someone wishes for it, Moscow is prepared for such an event.
