More than half of surveyed Ukrainians reported understanding draft dodgers who are hiding from mobilization – survey
01.04.2024 11:31On Saturday, March 30th, near Avdiivka, the Russian army conducted one of the largest tank attacks.
This is reported by Forbes magazine.
Referring to a Ukrainian military source, it is written that the Russian column consisted of 48 units of heavy equipment – 36 tanks and 12 BMPs. The 25th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces disabled 12 tanks and 8 BMPs.
“Despite the shortage of ammunition, Ukrainian brigades are still capable of stiff defense – thanks to a combination of mines, artillery, drones, and anti-tank missiles,” the publication notes.
Forbes believes that Ukrainian military forces tracked the movement of the column using drones and attacked with artillery, and then with FPV drones.
In several Russian military publics, losses in personnel and equipment during the attempt to break through to Umansky are confirmed, indicating that one of the main difficulties of the offensive was dense minefields.
Recall that the day before, military analyst Julian Röpke of Bild stated that Russian troops near Avdiivka were close to gaining operational space.
