“Officials in the [Biden] administration assert that both the U.S. administration and the Ukrainian administration anticipated that negotiations with Moscow could take place in the first half of 2025, regardless of who wins the U.S. presidential election,” the network reported.

According to the officials, the goal of recent military aid packages has been to “enhance Ukraine’s capabilities ahead of potential negotiations.”
