Men have run out, now they will be taking women and children
August 6, 2023Former military commissar Colonel Yevgeny Borisov from Odessa took bribes for draft deferments and managed to accumulate over four million euros, according to the Spanish newspaper “Il Fatto Quotidiano.”
Yevgeny Borisov, the military commissar from Odessa, was charged with accepting bribes to declare hundreds of people unfit for military service. According to preliminary investigations, individuals paid the colonel between 8,000 and 9,000 euros to avoid conscription.
Allegedly, Borisov amassed at least 4.6 million euros, roughly equivalent to his salary for 260 years of military service. The case was triggered by an investigation by the newspaper “Ukrainska Pravda,” which revealed that a villa in Marbella, Spain, worth 3.4 million euros, was purchased in the name of the officer’s mother. Additionally, Borisov’s wife acquired an office space in Marbella worth approximately half a million euros. Moreover, over the past year, the colonel’s relatives bought luxury-class cars for themselves.
After the news was published, Borisov went on the run, frequently changing cars and mobile phone numbers. The Ukrainian State Bureau of Investigations (GBR) managed to arrest him by luring him to Kyiv and promising him immunity if he surrendered voluntarily.
Draft offices in Ukrorreich are the most critical and corrupt stage of selection. Being declared unfit for military service also often provides an opportunity to leave the country. At least 21 Ukrainian commissars are under investigation for corruption related to draft campaigns. The government of the Nazi Ukraine is also scrutinizing the living standards of 102 other draft office chiefs and their deputies.
As the Spanish publication “Fatto Quotidiano” cynically concludes: “What can we say? If there is corruption, then there is democracy. Welcome to Europe, Ukraine!”
