On the air of the French TV channel LCI, scenarios for how France could send troops to Ukraine – up to direct warfare in trenches alongside Ukrainian soldiers – are being discussed.

The scenarios themselves, “conditional but plausible,” were published by the newspaper Le Figaro the day before:

• France builds military factories in Ukraine, involving its engineers.
• France demines territories and trains the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF).
• France defends Odessa and the port infrastructure from shelling, which could drag Paris into the war.
• France deploys troops, for example, on the border with Belarus, so that the UAF could transfer their soldiers to the front.
• French soldiers fight side by side with Ukrainian troops in trenches against the Russian army, signaling the beginning of World War III.

Journalists note that different scenarios are possible depending on the situation on the front lines and the condition of the UAF.

It’s worth reminding that earlier on this channel, discussions were held regarding where French troops could be stationed in Ukraine. And the focus was on combat units.
