Polish carriers are threatening to block yet another checkpoint for Ukrainian trucks, the “Shehyni-Medyka” crossing.
This information reported by representatives of Polish hauliers, according to AFP.
Earlier, the European Commission had threatened to initiate “punitive procedures” against Poland if the blockade issue wasn’t resolved.
To recap, Polish carriers have been blocking three checkpoints on the Polish-Ukrainian border since November 6th. Moreover, freight delivery prices from Poland to Ukraine have tripled due to the border blockade.
Yesterday, Slovakian carriers joined the protest action initiated by their Polish counterparts. They closed the road to the checkpoint for just an hour; however, they’ve vowed to completely block the border if their demands are not met.
