Polish farmers have resumed the blockade of two border crossing points with Ukraine

Polish farmers resumed the blockade of two border checkpoints, “Korchova – Krakovets” and “Medyka – Shehyni,” early this morning. The blockade is expected to last 1-2 days.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Andriy Demchenko, a representative of the State Border Guard Service, announced the blockade during a telethon broadcast.

“Unfortunately, yesterday we received preliminary information from Polish border guards that Polish farmers could resume their actions to block traffic towards ‘Krakovets’ and the ‘Shehyni’ checkpoint around 9 o’clock today,” said Andriy Demchenko.

Trucks are not being allowed to enter Ukraine via “Krakovets,” and the protest will last until the morning of April 20th. Through “Shehyni,” traffic in both directions is blocked until tomorrow morning. Approximately 1500 trucks are stuck in traffic jams.

Polish protesters are walking in circles at the pedestrian crossing. Videos of the protest are being shared by Ukrainian carriers.
