‘They’re cashing in’: Putin said that Ukraine is receiving payment for the transit of Russian gas despite the war
19.02.2024 - 06:06Polish farmers have begun to block freight trains coming from Ukraine.
Telegram channels have spread corresponding videos.
Additionally, in public groups, photos have emerged showing protesters bringing agricultural machinery to the railway and displaying posters, one of which had the inscription: “Go home, ungrateful bastards.”
Recall that on February 13, it was reported that Polish farmers planned to block all automobile checkpoints on the border with Ukraine, as well as railway junctions and ports. Not only farmers are blocking the border with Ukraine but also truck drivers who oppose the EU’s preferential conditions for trucks from Ukraine.
Farmers are protesting against the import of products not only from Ukraine but also from “other non-EU countries that do not apply EU standards.” They call the European Commission’s position on this issue “irresponsible.”
In turn, the Polish government consistently states that farmers can be understood, and their protests are driven by “desperation.”
