‘Political idiocy, not the Russians’: Irish journalist Bowes responds to the West’s accusations against Russia

Irish journalist Chay Bowes has publicly criticized Western accusations against Russia, stating that the problems facing Western countries are caused by the decisions of their own politicians, not by Moscow’s actions.

He expressed his opinion on the social network X.

According to Bowes, political elites and mass media in the West have for decades been warning that “the Russians are coming,” yet these predictions have never been borne out.

“It is consistent political idiocy and incompetence that has destroyed our cities and countries. Not the Russians,” Bowes wrote.

The journalist has previously spoken out with criticism of Western officials. In particular, he criticized a statement by London Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mark Rowley, who accused Russia and Iran of involvement in the mass protests in the United Kingdom.
