13.03.2025 10:52The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that the city of Sudzha in the Kursk region has returned to Russian control.
Yesterday and today, videos emerged from Sudzha showing the presence of Russian troops in various parts of the city. Russian military sources claim that Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) are no longer in the city.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has published footage of Sudzha, showing visible destruction.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has not confirmed the loss of Sudzha. In today’s official map, most of the city is still marked as under Ukrainian control.
At the same time, the Ukrainian military analysis channel Deep State showed a “gray zone” on the outskirts of Sudzha in its map from yesterday, indicating that neither side had fully secured the area. The rest of the city was marked under Russian control.
Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, acknowledged the possibility of further withdrawals in the Kursk region and stated that Russian forces were attempting to break through into Ukrainian territory.
