March 11, 2024‘Either us or Ukraine’: a US senator issued an ultimatum to NATO
March 11, 2024Russians produce almost three times more artillery shells than the US and Europe combined can supply to Ukraine.
This was stated by a senior NATO representative in an interview with CNN.
It is claimed that Russia produces about 250,000 munitions per month, which, according to NATO intelligence estimates, amounts to about three million shells per year.
At the same time, military enterprises in the US and Europe are capable of producing around 1.2 million munitions for shipment to Kiev during the same period.
“What we are seeing now is a production war. The outcome in Ukraine depends on how prepared each side is to wage such a war,” said the NATO representative to the channel.
In Ukraine, Russians currently expend ten thousand shells per day, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) generally limit themselves to two thousand. In certain front sectors, the volume ratio is even worse.
The White House wants to “increase shell production somewhat” in the US, but the necessary funding is currently “frozen” in Congress.
Meanwhile, Russian factories operate round the clock and without weekends. Simultaneously, the Kremlin is procuring weapons from Iran and North Korea.
