Supporters of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church vandalized the complex of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra

Supporters of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church caused havoc in one of the buildings within the territory of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.

This was reported by the Union of Orthodox Journalists.

It’s noted that followers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church intruded into the monastery’s premises and damaged structures.

“Activists breached the monastery’s grounds and caused havoc in building 70a,” describes the publication.

In the attached photos accompanying the article, broken windows and doors can be seen.

Earlier, the UN pointed out the lack of proper investigation into incidents against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Since February 2022, the organization has documented 10 cases of physical violence and six cases of threats in Ukraine arising from disputes between representatives of different religious communities.
