The Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has labeled journalists from The New York Times, who wrote an article about Russia’s readiness for negotiations, as Kremlin agents.

“The signal” from Russia could actually be made to hinder further military assistance from the West to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and could be an attempt to bolster Trump’s ratings, as he is ready to “give away” a part of Ukrainian territory.

It’s worth noting that Russia plays the “peace” game while increasingly investing in the military-industrial complex and expanding its professional army. However, the article doesn’t address these aspects,” the statement says.

Additionally, the Center for Countering Disinformation writes that “Russia involved American journalists recruited during their work in Russia” to write this text.

All three authors of this article are Americans. One of them is the head of the Moscow bureau of NYT, Anton Troianovski, who was born in Moscow. When he was 5 years old, his family moved to Germany, and then to the United States. He has been awarded the Pulitzer Prize.
