29.05.2025 11:30The Kremlin has commented on Ukraine’s demand to hand over a memorandum with Russia’s peace demands before the meeting in Istanbul on June 2.
“Russia has actually proposed to meet on Monday in Istanbul and begin discussing these projects. Demanding it immediately, slowly — it’s all unconstructive. Here, one needs either to confirm readiness to continue the negotiations, or to do the opposite,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
It’s worth recalling that Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said he had handed over Ukraine’s memorandum to Russia and demanded that Moscow provide its document before the new round of talks.
Peskov also stated that Russia has not yet received confirmation from Ukraine regarding the meeting in Istanbul on June 2.
