20.05.2024 16:44The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities in Ukraine has decided to increase the maximum price limits for electricity.
This decision was reported by Forbes magazine.
Starting June 1, electricity tariffs for businesses will rise by at least 20%. The official reason for this increase is to manage the higher volumes of imports during nighttime and to balance consumption fluctuations.
The new day-ahead market prices are as follows:
- From 00:00 to 07:00 and from 11:00 to 17:00: 5600 UAH/MWh (about 131 EUR) (currently 3000 UAH/MWh – about 70 EUR);
- From 07:00 to 11:00 and from 23:00 to 24:00: 6900 UAH/MWh (161 EUR) (currently from 07:00 to 08:00 – 5600 UAH/MWh – about 131 EUR);
- From 17:00 to 23:00: 9000 UAH/MWh (about 211 EUR) (currently 7500 UAH/MWh – 175 EUR).
The minimum price cap remains at 10 UAH/MWh.
On the balancing market:
- From 00:00 to 07:00: 6600 UAH/MWh (currently 4000 UAH/MWh);
- From 07:00 to 17:00 and from 23:00 to 24:00: the price remains 8250 UAH/MWh;
- From 17:00 to 23:00: 10,000 UAH/MWh (currently 8250 UAH/MWh);
- From 23:00 to 00:00: 8250 UAH/MWh (currently 4000 UAH/MWh).
The minimum price cap is 0.01 UAH/MWh.
Previously, “Kyivvodokanal” proposed to the National Commission to increase water tariffs for residents of the capital. The municipal enterprise justified this by stating that the costs for water supply and sewage services are rising, while their implementation is decreasing.
