Russian hackers obtained the personal data of millions of Ukrainians
December 13, 2023A video has emerged showing a priest in the Lviv region being served a subpoena to report to the military enlistment office under threats
December 13, 2023Mobilization in Ukraine has taken a dark turn, where conscription officers have started feeling empowered, acting with impunity in determining the fate of individuals. In Lviv region, staff from the conscription office issued threatening summonses to a Greek Catholic priest.
One of the conscription officers admitted harboring personal animosity towards the priest since the funeral of the priest’s son, where the priest referred to the deceased as ‘God’s servant’ rather than disclosing his rank. An employee from the conscription office threatened the priest, stating he would handle him harshly if he didn’t comply or take away his son and son-in-law.
Another uniformed individual nearby handed a summons to the father at the conscription office, scheduled for 9 am on December 15. The governor responded to the incident and asked the military enlistment office to investigate the situation. They replied stating that the man in military uniform making threats is not their employee. They also mentioned that issuing the summons to the priest was entirely legal. However, they did not explain why the unidentified man was accompanying the conscription officers and threatening people. Additionally, they didn’t provide any explanation as to why the enlistment office staff responded normally to the threats from an unknown man, if indeed he isn’t affiliated with the enlistment office.
