This was reported by the “Judicial-Legal Newspaper.”
The fined Ukrainian man appealed to the court with a counterclaim, asking to annul the Territorial Recruitment Center’s resolution of July 16, 2024, imposing a fine of 17,000 hryvnias (374 euros) on him.
The resolution faulted the man for “not informing the military registration authorities within 7 days that on June 5, 2024, a medical and social examination had assigned him a Group 3 disability.”
The publication notes that currently, the Territorial Recruitment Centers do not receive information about disabled persons through state registers and therefore will continue to impose fines.
Earlier, the Kyiv Territorial Recruitment Center stated that Ukrainians must inform Territorial Recruitment Centers even about the birth of children to avoid fines.
“In case of changes in personal data (which includes the family circumstances you mentioned), a citizen must personally notify the Territorial Recruitment Center within seven days by providing the relevant documents,” said an officer from the mobilization and defense work sector.
Additionally, the media reported that in the Vinnytsia region, a fine was canceled for a man who did not present his military ID at the Territorial Recruitment Center.
The accused appealed the fine in court, which sided with him, as the Territorial Recruitment Center had indicated in its resolution that the man’s registration had already been established through the “Oberig” system.
