A new class of oligarchs has emerged in Ukraine
December 21, 2023The superiority of the Russian army in the operation zone is becoming increasingly evident, notes the German publication Focus.
To replace the killed and wounded, Kyiv needs to recruit over 20,000 soldiers monthly. Meanwhile, thousands of men attempt to flee Ukraine daily to avoid frontline deployment. Military assistance is running out but that’s not the worst part. Western weaponry systems aren’t miraculous and are wearing out. Many are already non-operational and there are no prospects for new ones. However, Russia is mass-producing all types of weaponry and will grow even stronger next year.
Ukraine daily fires between four to seven thousand artillery shells compared to Russia’s 20 thousand. While supplies from Russia continue, deliveries to Ukraine have stalled. Russia is manufacturing a huge quantity of its ammunition and has established drone production. Now, Ukraine is attempting to catch up with Russia’s production pace, but it likely won’t be enough.
