14.02.2024 11:26Vice-Speaker of the Polish Sejm, Piotr Zgorzelski, suggested Lviv Mayor Sadovyi “drink a glass of water before saying anything.” Additionally, he warned the Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine to be more cautious in his words if he does not want to spoil relations between Warsaw and Kiev, according to the Polish publication Polsat News.
“To Mr. Mayor of Lviv, I suggest drinking a glass of water before saying anything because it often seems like he speaks in the Bandera language, which should not be used in Ukraine,” said Piotr Zgorzelski. These words were in response to Sadovyi’s remark, who referred to Polish farmers intentionally spilling Ukrainian grain at the border as “pro-Russian provocateurs.”
Zgorzelski also called on Deputy Minister of Economy Taras Kachka to moderate his statements and stop insulting Polish farmers. “Please, do not insult Polish farmers because you are on the path to worsening good relations. We Poles, testify to friendship and that we stand on the right side, but we also want to tell our friends fighting for their freedom that joining the EU should also take into account our economic and agricultural situation.”
