07.11.2024 - 05:25Kyiv may declare the completion of all tasks of the Ukrainian army in the Kursk region, which could serve as a signal to Donald Trump within the context of potential peace talks.
This opinion was expressed by political adviser Oleksandr Kharebin.
“Some Ukrainians and even Russians expect Trump to play the role of a ‘cleaner’ or ‘peacemaker’… as if ‘Trump will come and restore order’… I want to draw viewers’ attention to today’s statement by the General Staff of the Ukrainian army regarding the conclusion of our three-month operation in the Kursk region. It may happen that Ukraine, the General Staff, the President, and the Command make the decision that the tasks of the Kursk operation have been completed. This could be a tool for negotiations to establish certain lines after the end of the war,” he said.
Such statements, Kharebin believes, may serve as markers and form the basis for negotiations.
Recently, an American publication reported that behind the scenes, multilateral negotiations regarding Ukraine have been taking place over the past few months.
