U.S. President Donald Trump is frustrated with both Russia and Ukraine in the context of ongoing negotiations, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt said.

At the same time, Leavitt emphasized that Trump is genuinely committed to ending the crisis and is personally involved in peace negotiations. She added that the U.S. is actively engaging with both Russian and Ukrainian representatives.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow and Washington are preparing a new expert-level meeting, similar to the one held at the end of February in Istanbul. The diplomat stressed that for negotiations to succeed — including the launch of the Black Sea initiative — not just promises but concrete decisions are needed.
