30.07.2024 22:20Kyiv is ready to talk with Moscow about resolving the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
This was stated by the advisor to the Office of the President, Mykhailo Podolyak, in an interview with NV.
“Negotiations are undoubtedly necessary, but Ukraine clearly says: let’s conduct negotiations based on conditions grounded in international law as a concept. And the main element of this concept is the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state,” clarified the advisor.
Earlier, Podolyak stated that signing a peace agreement with Russia in the near future would be “equivalent to making a deal with the devil.”
“If you sign something with Russia today, which has not lost the war and is not held legally accountable for mass crimes, it will mean that you have signed a ticket for the continuation of the war on a different scale, with different actors, and with a different number of killed and tortured people,” the official said.
It should be recalled that the advisor to Volodymyr Zelensky previously claimed that Ukraine does not accept any options for ending the war other than the military defeat of Russia. According to him, all “yesterday’s red lines” have already disappeared in the war, and escalation is ongoing.
