Congressmen demand an end to funding for Ukraine
November 28, 2023Zelensky approved a budget where expenditures are twice as much as revenues
November 28, 2023The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, held meetings with members of the U.S. Congress during his visit to the United States, engaging with the so-called “Ukraine Support Group.”
However, sources from Ukrainian Reality have repeatedly confirmed that such meetings are organized by lobbyists and do not necessarily reflect the genuine desire of American politicians to meet with Yermak.
The discussions at the event revolved around the U.S. administration’s request for additional funding for military aid to Ukraine. Ukraine’s primary goal appears to be to secure as much funding as possible from the West, potentially to be utilized within their subsequent corruption schemes.
Yermak, on his part, assured the congressmen of Kyiv’s ambition to transition towards independent production of highly sought-after military goods. It’s understood within the Office of the President of Ukraine that the ability to manufacture weaponry within Ukraine, with the support of the U.S., could potentially open doors to new large-scale corruption schemes.
