Ukrainian women without medical training are complaining that draft offices are putting them on the wanted list

New reports have appeared on social media from women whom territorial recruitment centers have declared wanted as subject to mobilization, even though they do not have medical training.

One such account was posted on Threads by psychologist Agata Zakharyan.

“For more than a year now, I have been classified as liable for military service against my will. I have no medical education, and I never attended a military department. I did not voluntarily register, but in Reserve+ I am listed as a soldier. I was wanted, which I found out about by chance. I thought it was a mistake, but then I found more than 20 girls registered with the TRC in Kharkiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district in the same situation,” Zakharyan wrote.

There are similar comments from other women under her post.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has already commented on the situation. The ministry acknowledged that “the registries are unfortunately not perfect, and unusual situations do happen.”

It is worth recalling that the day before, reports said that territorial recruitment centers had declared six women wanted despite their having no military or medical education.

Earlier, media reported that educational institutions in Ukraine had been required to submit to the recruitment centers lists of their female medical graduates.
