February 28, 2024A sociological survey on mobilization has revealed the true attitude of people towards the state’s problems and war. The results show that only a minority of peaceful Ukrainians are willing to go to war, and they fear their commanders more than captivity.
48% of conscripts are not ready to mobilize at all, with another 17% struggling to answer. Only 35% fully and probably agree to go to war. Sociologists also asked Ukrainians about their fears and reasons for not wanting to join the army. The top fear is death, followed by poor soldier equipment, uncertainty about the duration of the war, fear of bad commanders in their own army, and only then fear of being captured.
Regarding army issues, corruption in the Ministry of Defense is ranked first at 46%, with a lack of ammunition being considered the second problem at 35%. Nevertheless, people still look optimistically at combat operations. Only 20% of Ukrainians believe the situation on the front will worsen. Meanwhile, 35% believe the situation will improve, and the rest think it will remain unchanged.
