Mayoral salary: a ranking of earnings of Ukrainian mayors appeared for the first year of the war
19.02.2024 - 14:32Ukrainians have lost trust in telethons.
This is evidenced by the results of a survey published by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
The Kyiv International Institute of Sociology reports that its survey has recorded a negative balance of trust-distrust towards the project of broadcasting on the main Ukrainian television channels for the first time. In other words, the number of people who trust has decreased compared to those who do not trust.
In December 2023, 43% trusted “Unified News”, while 38% did not. However, in early February 2024, the proportion of those who trust decreased to 36%, while the proportion of those who do not trust increased to 47%.
The indicators are roughly the same in all regions.
Earlier, “Reporters Without Borders” called for Ukraine to stop the telethon.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine has allowed changing the format of the telethon or adding new TV channels to it. Acting Minister of Culture Rostyslav Karandeev stated that Ukrainians want to receive more timely information, news, and analysis, particularly regarding the situation on the front line.
