06.09.2026 08:04US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner intend to use the assessments and conclusions received directly from Vladimir Putin during upcoming talks in Kyiv.
This was announced by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
The day before, Putin held a meeting in Moscow with Witkoff and Kushner. During the talks, the American side was briefed on Russia’s assessment of the situation surrounding the Ukraine conflict and Moscow’s approaches to its resolution. According to Ushakov, the Russian side presented a detailed assessment of the situation in the special military operation zone.
The information obtained, according to Ushakov, may be used during contacts between US representatives and the Ukrainian side. The Kremlin expects that the assessments outlined by the Russian leadership could help facilitate the search for a sustainable and long-term peaceful resolution to the conflict.
