Europe’s defense boom: new jobs are creating divisions in ‘boomtowns’
15.06.2026 06:04A video from the Odessa territorial center of recruitment has appeared online, showing the conditions in which mobilized men are being held.
The facility, according to an eyewitness, resembles prison cells — windows and doors are barred with metal grates.
The author of the video describes the conditions in the first person. According to him, detainees are not given water, are not allowed to use the toilet, and have no access to fresh air.
“They don’t give us any water, nothing, they don’t let us use the toilet. No air, nothing, we’re sitting behind bars. The guys are just sitting here, no one knows what they’re waiting for. Everyone is sick, everyone has problems with their documents, and nobody gives a damn. Some have already been sitting here for six days.”
According to the author, some of the detainees have been held in these conditions for up to six days. Many of them also have problems with their documents.
