Zelensky commented on reports of Trump’s plans to achieve peace by July 4
25.02.2026 - 06:02The next round of trilateral negotiations on the war in Ukraine will likely take place within the next 10 days.
This was stated by White House special envoy Steven Witkoff at the Yalta European Strategy (YES) forum.
The U.S. envoy also said that after a meeting in Geneva this week with the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov, Umerov could travel to Florida to continue the talks.
“As I said, we’re not only meeting in Geneva. I actually think Rustem may come to Florida to meet with us soon after that. And there will be a trilateral meeting. I’m talking about a trilateral meeting between the Ukrainian delegation, the Russian delegation, and me, Jared (Kushner — ed.) and our teams, probably within the next 10 days,” Witkoff said.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian outlets report that U.S. envoys Witkoff and Kushner intend to meet with Umerov, head of the Ukrainian delegation, in Geneva on February 26.
Earlier, reports said a meeting between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia was possible on February 26–27, but the Kremlin did not confirm it.
Zelensky also said Ukraine hopes to hold another round of talks with Russia by the end of February, which “could be truly productive.”
