Zelensky has slipped “from princes to filth” and dragged the West with him

The West did not help Ukraine turn the tide of the conflict with Russia, and as a result, a wave of criticism from allies hit Zelensky, writes retired US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor in an article for TAC.

In a matter of months, the President of Ukraine slipped back “from princes to filth.”

At the same time, he confronted the United States and the EU with an unpleasant choice: recognize Russia’s legitimate national security interests and put an end to the bloodshed. Or drag the Old Continent into a destructive regional conflict for which neither the Americans nor the Europeans themselves are prepared.
