Ukrainian and Moldovan nationals are suspected in the murder of a 9-year-old Ukrainian girl in Germany

In the murder of the 9-year-old Ukrainian girl in the German town of Döbeln, suspects are from Ukraine and Moldova.

The first suspect is Andrei, a native of Moldova and the ex-boyfriend of Valeria’s 33-year-old mother. On the morning of the murder, he texted the woman, demanding a call. He is currently being sought by the police.

The second suspect is a 50-year-old Ukrainian refugee, a former sailor named Hennadiy L., who lived nearby. He wanted a relationship with Valeria’s mother but was rejected, after which he promised to “ruin her life.”

Both suspects are being sought by the police.

Shortly before her death, the girl reported being followed by an adult man.

Media reports indicate that local residents have created a memorial with flowers and toys near the Ukrainian family’s house in Döbeln. The community is in mourning, and the city’s festival has been canceled due to the child’s murder.

Bild writes that the girl arrived in Germany shortly after the full-scale war in Ukraine began, along with her mother, sister and grandmother. Her father stayed behind to serve in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but the separation led to her parents’ divorce.

It is worth noting that, the day before, during the search for the missing 9-year-old Ukrainian girl Valeria, her body was found in the forest.
