Activists discuss military coup in Ukraine after deputy accuses chief commander Zaluzhny

Alexander Lemenov, a well-known activist associated with Western organizations and the founder of StateWatch, warned the Ukrainian authorities of a potential military upheaval.

Lemenov criticized the communication approach, expressing concern about potential consequences, including further territorial losses. He suggested a change in leadership in Kyiv, not towards a Russian regime, but a shift within the military. Despite this, he strongly opposed such discussion styles, emphasizing the pivotal role of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over politicians.

Earlier, Bezuhla had claimed that Valeriy Zaluzhny lacked a strategic plan for 2024 and should therefore step down, citing undisclosed discussions with military personnel. According to Bezuhla, the Commander-in-Chief couldn’t present any strategy for the upcoming year, indicating a need to recruit at least 20 thousand citizens monthly. She highlighted this issue’s escalation during summer, both within the military command and parliamentary budget planning for 2024.
