Magyar: Hungary’s position on the rights of the Hungarian minority in Ukraine will not change
29.05.2026 08:00Ukrainian TikTok blogger Olga, known by the nickname bonnie_ua, has published a parody of well-known public figures who call for fighting “until victory” but do not go to the front themselves.
In her video, the blogger voices typical explanations, on behalf of such characters, for why they are not serving. The first argument is family:
“What, you ask why I’m not at the front? Why am I not fighting? Because I have a family. If I didn’t have a family — of course I would fight. But I have a family, nothing to be done about it.”
The second argument is an alleged “permission” received from the soldiers themselves:
“The guys told me: this is not your place. Stay home and talk sh*t. So I talk sh*t. Because I can do that.”
The third argument is medical unfitness on formal grounds:
“You know how painful it was for me. I went to the military medical commission, saw all the doctors. All of them. And then the dentist says: fillings. The fillings need replacing. Unfit. So I’m unfit. I’ll die unfit just like that.”
The parody is aimed at public figures who actively support the continuation of the war in the public sphere, yet find reasons not to participate in the fighting personally.
