Germany is currently not ready to supply long-range missiles Taurus to Ukraine

The official spokesperson for the German government, Steffen Hebestreit, announced the refusal to supply long-range missiles to Ukraine.

‘We are currently not supplying Ukraine with Taurus missiles, but we are closely monitoring the situation,’ the official stated. He referred to the recent Russian airstrikes as ‘war crimes.’ When asked about Ukrainian strikes on Belgorod, he mentioned that he ‘never commented on it before and will not comment on it now.’

Earlier, Poland’s new Foreign Minister, Radosław Sikorski, called for providing Ukraine with more long-range missiles in response to Russia’s massive missile strikes. However, Warsaw is unlikely to have enough diverse weaponry to continue intensive support for Ukraine on its own. Meanwhile, pressure has been persistently applied on Germany for some time in an attempt to obtain Taurus missiles. Nevertheless, Berlin continues to stand its ground.
