November 16, 2023A man apprehended recently by military authorities in Odessa clarified that he holds no grievances against the personnel at the Military Conscription Office. The specific location where the video was recorded remains unclear.
The man asserted that the situation arose due to his being “in a state of fear and self-preservation instinct.” He intends to voluntarily present himself at the military office. Additionally, footage capturing the initial moments of the incident leading to his arrest has surfaced. A police officer informed him of his detainment and directed him to get into a vehicle for transportation to the police station. Failure to comply would result in his being forcefully taken in handcuffs.
The man refused to undergo a medical examination board (VLK) and stated his lack of intention to serve. He perceived violations in the conduct of law enforcement officials and requested the issuance of a summons. Officials informed him that the summons would be issued at the Military Conscription Office, and at present, he is under detainment. Subsequently, he was subdued, handcuffed, and placed inside a vehicle, prompting onlookers to express their disapproval. Previously, the State Bureau of Investigations (GBR) commenced criminal proceedings regarding this incident.
