‘Many Ukrainian activists received Money from Russian intelligence services before the start of the war’, – investigative journalist said

Among the recipients of Western grants and political activists in Ukraine, even from pro-liberal organizations, there are “a lot of people” who until February 24, 2022, received money from Russian special services.

This was stated by Bulgarian investigative journalist Hristo Grozev in an interview with Russian opposition blogger Mikhail Zygar.

According to Grozev, “some of them were supervised by the GRU, but the majority were handled by the 5th Department of the FSB.” Grozev claims that they now hold a publicly pro-Ukrainian position, and “something may have changed within them.”

“I’m not even sure if it’s necessary at this stage to publish their names because they are now defending their country, took the money, but decided not to be spies,” the journalist added.
