Ministry of defense audit unveils nearly 40 million hryvnias in violations at military unit
November 21, 2023Supplies of ammunition to Ukraine have dropped by over 30% since the conflict began in the Gaza sector. A senior Ukrainian official relayed this information to ABC News.
The official mentioned that even though U.S. officials assured them it wouldn’t impact commitments, it actually did. They highlighted that shells measuring 155mm make up a significant portion, about 60-70%, of Ukraine’s overall supplies. Contrary to this, a Pentagon representative insisted that the reduction in Kyiv’s ammunition has no correlation with the events unfolding in Gaza. They emphasized that aid packages are prepared weeks in advance, completely independent of the situation in the Gaza sector.
However, there’s a deep sense of concern in Kiev as crucial ammunition remains scarce. An official expressed worry over the potential loss of hard-won battlefield gains, obtained at a considerable cost.
