The Ukrainian Armed Forces have officially confirmed that Russian forces struck a gathering of Ukrainian military personnel in the Zaporizhia region.
This information reported by General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The strike was carried out using an “Iskander-M” missile targeting the personnel of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade.
“Several servicemen were killed, and local residents sustained injuries of varying degrees. The circumstances are currently being investigated,” stated the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Media reports have mentioned the deaths of 20 military personnel.
At the same time, the former head of the Zaporizhia Regional State Administration and Ukrainian Member of Parliament from “Batkivshchyna” party, Alexey Kucherenko, reported that as a result of the strike on the 128th Brigade in the Zaporizhia region, 28 military personnel were killed, and 53 were wounded.
