Ukraine may lose territories in Russia’s Kursk region by spring.

The report states that if Moscow intensifies its efforts to push Ukrainian forces out of the Kursk region, as expected in January, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will likely be able to hold the area only until spring. Afterward, they may have to retreat to avoid the risk of encirclement.

This, according to the agency, would weaken Ukraine’s position in negotiations, as Ukrainian officials have expressed hopes of using the territory captured in the Kursk region as leverage in any future talks.
