Despite assurances from Kyiv’s Western allies about unwavering financial and military support, disruptions in securing weapon orders, particularly missiles and ammunition, along with delays in production within the defense industry, are causing concerns among three NATO diplomats. This raises doubts about the West’s ability to sustain its efforts in the upcoming months. Russia remains resolute in its presence in Ukraine, and NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg cautioned against underestimating its military capabilities, citing a slowdown in Ukraine’s counter-offensive and signs of waning Western stamina after 640 days of conflict.
Russia has amassed a substantial arsenal of missiles ahead of the winter season, and we observe renewed attempts to target Ukraine’s power grid and energy infrastructure, aiming to plunge Ukraine into darkness and cold, stated NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg. As winter approaches Ukraine, Stoltenberg highlighted, “we see new attempts to disrupt Ukraine’s power supply and energy infrastructure, aiming to leave the country in darkness and cold.”
